Visit sacred temples, hike through lush green mountains, and uncover the legendary secrets of King Ravana's hidden caves. Experience deeply moving morning poojas, walk through the mystical Ashok Vatika, and feel the centuries-old spiritual energy that still flows through every corner of Sri Lanka. Travel in total comfort with your own private chauffeur, and let the Ramayana come alive before your eyes.

Day 01: Aitport to Clilaw & Kandy

Your journey starts at Bandaranaike International Airport, where your chauffeur will be ready to take you straight to Chilaw.

First stop — Munneswaram Temple, a sacred site believed to predate the Ramayana itself, where Lord Rama sought the blessings of Lord Shiva after his victorious battle. Just five kilometres away, Manavari Temple houses the first Shiva Lingam personally installed by Lord Rama — still known today as Ramalinga Shivan. From Chilaw, the road winds inland to Kandy, where the evening is reserved for the Sri Dalada Maligawa, the Temple of the Tooth Relic. Round off the night with a walk through Kandy's local markets.

Day 02 : Kandy to Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast, you head into Sri Lanka's hill country, Stop at Ramboda to visit the Sri Bhakta Hanuman Temple — built in the hills where Hanuman is said to have searched for Sita. Continue through fragrant tea plantations and stop at a local tea factory to see how Ceylon tea is made. By afternoon, you arrive in Nuwara Eliya — a cool, colonial-era highland town that feels like a world apart. Spend the evening exploring the town itself — the old post office, Victoria Park, the lake, and the charming streets that earned it the nickname Little England.

Day 03 : Nuwara Eliya to Ella

Morning begins at the Seetha Amman Temple — its statues, paintings, and carved pillars depicting the story of Rama and Sita in detail. Attend the morning pooja before heading to Hakgala Botanical Gardens, once believed to be King Ravana's pleasure garden and the place where Hanuman delivered Rama's ring to Sita. From there, visit Divurumpola — the site where Sita is said to have undergone the Agni Pariksha, her trial by fire. Locals still take oaths here to this day. By evening, you'll reach the mountain village of Ella.

Day 04: Ella to Katharagama

Start the morning at Ravana Ella Falls, then head up to the Ravana Cave — a network of tunnels carved into the rock face, believed to be where King Ravana kept Sita captive. In the afternoon, drive south to Kataragama to visit the temple of Lord Karthikeya Subramaniam — the deity who is said to have protected Lord Rama from Ravana's Brahmaasthra on the final day of war. The evening pooja closes the day on a reflective note.

Day 05: Katharagama to Ussangoda, Colombo & airport

After breakfast, your chauffeur takes you to Ussangoda — a bare, windswept coastal plateau believed to be one of King Ravana's ancient airports, scorched when Hanuman set his tail on fire. From there, head north to Colombo for a few hours of shopping — spices, gems, batiks, whatever takes your fancy. When it's time, your driver will get you to the airport for your departure.
